The purpose of research is to inform action.
My many years at university are testament to my love of research. As is the fact that my first ‘real’ jobs were both jobs as a research assistant. I am naturally curious and enjoy delving deeper into an issue to find out many sides to an issue. And there is always more than one side to a story!
Research is at the basis of all that I do. As a student in high school and university I took absolute pride in my essays and the quality of my work. Following on, as a research assistant, I spent hours in libraries and online making sure that the information I gleaned on a specific subject for the professor I was working under was thorough, up-to-date and relevant. And finally, a professional and as a consultant, the very same skills are utilised on a daily basis as I prepare reports for clients who are seeking to better understand a topic and implement strategies to improve a policy area or an aspect of environmental planning.
I offer primary and secondary research services according to your needs. For example, I can undertake telephone or stakeholder interviews, undertake field work locally in Canberra, and review information on the internet using a variety of tools. All research will be presented in a way that is clear and concise according to your specific needs.
I can help you undertake primary and secondary research to ensure the information available to you is accurate and has clear implications for policy and project implementation.
